Promoter Responsibilities in Retail Stores
Strategic Responsibilities
- Guide customers to influence buying behavior for assigned products.
- Promote and upsell company products through active engagement.
- Maintain product hygiene and shelf visibility to improve secondary sales.
Operational Execution
- Maintain grooming standards and professional behavior at all times.
- Be familiar with all categories and sub-categories within the store.
- Ensure promotions are activated and executed as per client instructions.
- Ensure promo communication using promo talkers and POS materials.
- Report regularly on Availability, Visibility, and Activation status.
- Stay updated on product range, MRPs, stock status, and ongoing offers.
- Understand store selling prices, which may differ from MRP.
- Demonstrate product knowledge, including usage and benefits.
- Confidently explain the company profile when asked by customers.
- Proactively greet customers, seek permission, and perform product detailing.
- Understand customer needs and interact with every potential customer.
- Support brand activations such as new product sampling.
- Monitor competitor activities and report to the reporting manager.
- Escalate Out of Stock (OOS) issues to the store team and reporting manager.
Educational Qualification
Higher Secondary / Any Graduate (Preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in retail promotion or customer handling.
- Prior exposure to the Retail or FMCG industry preferred.
